Allegra Huston is the author of the critically acclaimed LOVE CHILD: A Memoir of Family Lost and Found, published in April 2009. Andrew Harvey calls it “a masterpiece of astute and unshrinking compassion, an encouragement to all of us to face the turmoil and complexities of our past with forgiveness, humble self-knowledge and openness to the mysterious and often paradoxical rhythms of healing.” Allegra is co-director, with the poet James NavĂ©, of the Imaginative Storm Writing Workshop, which is held yearly in Taos, NM, and at the National University of Ireland, Galway. In addition, she regularly teaches week-long screenwriting courses for the Arvon Foundation in the UK.
